Homely, clean and very well equipped
The home was once a hotel but over the years we have made adaptations to ensure it is an effective care home environment. The home has a homely design, with 18 bedrooms spread across 2 floors. Each bedroom has a television, and some offer an ensuite as well as a sea-view.
We ensure the home is equipped with the latest aids to assist our residents, these are regularly inspected and kept clean.
We have three main communal areas which each offer there own unique setting. We encourage our residents to socialise however understand some peace, quiet and sanctuary is an extremely important part of self-care. We have large televisions situated in all three communal areas where many movie nights take place! Our communal areas are the hub of the home, we have an activities co-ordinator who organises many fun activities tailored to each residents’ interests.
We can cater for a range of dietary requirements
We have a spacious dining room where many of our residents enjoy their meals, we have three large tables where they can socialise whilst enjoying their meals. We understand this is not everyone’s preference and offer meals in their rooms as well as in the communal areas. Each area is monitored by a member of staff to assist and encourage over mealtimes.
All meals are prepared in house by our enthusiastic kitchen staff who ensure all meals are to a high standard. We source most of our produce locally and can cater for a range of dietary requirements. Our menus are carefully selected to ensure our residents are getting a nutritious balanced diet.
